Assam: BTC tourism to host first ever paragliding championship
Good news for the India as Bodoland is going to host first paraglading championship in Assam in this November. As per the information, BTC – Bodoland Territorial Council tourism department will be hosting this year championship in Ontaigufur Dangdhufur Chokrosila wildlife sanctuary, which is situated in Kokrajhar, Assam.
Meanwhile, while speaking to the media, Maham Brahma, the director of tourism department said that they are going to organised first first Bodoland international paragliding accuracy championship from November 10 to 15 in Assam.
He further added that, the BTC tourism department has introduced paragliding for the first time in 2013 during Bhaokungri festival. By introducing this type of activity, the tourism department had been able to build opportunities for youths and will provide employment opportunities.
Meanwhile, Braham informed that around 70 pilots from various countries and and pilots from all across India will take part in this event. Adding to this, he also said that 15 countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Switzerland and national pilots from Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Pune, Sikkim, Manali will also be the part of event.
