Wonder what these different colours on road milestone represent?

The tripping is always fun but if you are in India then riding here is not at all an easy task to learn, one needs patience and a lot of courage. You also need to understand all the signs and languages which you encounter in between the trips/ while travelling.
Miestone-Trips
So, today we are going to talk about milestones and different colour of milestones you see on the Indian roads. Because before you set out to conquer Indian roads you need to know them.
Yellow colour
Yellow-colour
While travelling you might have seen yellow coloured milestones this means you are on National Highway. As yellow painted milestones are imposed on India’s National highways only.
National Highway (NH): These are the main highways of India which provide connectivity to all cities and states. NH is maintained by the Indian Government (i.e. NHAI).
Green Colour
Green-Colour
While travelling you might have seen Green coloured strip milestones this means you are on State Highways. In India, when roads are constructed or manufactured by the State then green coloured milestones are used and the maintenance of these roads is done entirely by the State government.
State Highways (SH): The State Highway is is administered by the states to enter into each state and inter-connectivity in the cities.
 
Black, Blue or White colour
Blue,-White-or-Black-color-strip
While travelling if you see a milestone with a black, blue or white strip on the roadside, then it is understood that you entered in a big city or district.
The maintenance of the roads comes under district or the roads are maintained under the administration of the same city.
Orange colour 
Orange-colour-Milestone
When you see a milestone or a landmark with an orange stripe on the side of the road, then it means that you entered the village. This strip also represents Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
In today’s era, we are living in the digital age, where Google maps and satellite navigation has made it possible for us to travel almost everywhere easily and accessible. It is unbelievable that how far we have come from just a stone on the side of the road through the guidance of Google Maps in remote areas as well on the planet.
