International Yoga Festival to start from March 1
Rishikesh, also known as the Yoga capital of India is all set to host the International Yoga Festival from March 1. This week long festival will end on March 07. The International Yoga festival is for you if your objective is to get your mind, body, and soul to synchronize. This is a 7-day event that takes place at many ashrams in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. Thousands of people from all over the world come and take part in this festival.
International Yoga Festival 2019 is a joint initiative between Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) and Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB), and is a much sought after event.
A major highlight of the festival for this year is the performance by legendary Baul artist, Parvathy Baul. Also a painter, Parvathy also masters at playing iktara, duggi and nupur (anklets). Other than that, Pandava Nritya is expected to be another crowd-puller this year. In addition, visitors and participants can expect a number of activities for the seven days, all led by teachers, practitioners and yogis of much repute.
