No Need for Currency Exchange; Now, you can shop with INR in Dubai

Great news for all the travelers; Dubai has come up with an introduction of no more converting Indian Rupees to Dollars or the local currency. This means from now you don’t have to convert your Indian Rupees for shopping across Dubai Duty-Free shops.

The acceptance of Indian currency is good news for tourists from that country as earlier they lost a size-able amount due to exchange rates. The acceptance of Indian currency is good news for tourists from that country as earlier they lost a size-able amount due to exchange rates.

However, Indian currency with the denominations of 100, 200, 500 (only the new one as earlier one is out of circulation) and 2000 will be accepted at the outlets. Till now Indian travelers had to convert the rupee into Dollar, Dirham or Euro before they could shop at Dubai duty-free shops.

The Indian Rupee is the 16th foreign currency to be accepted at Dubai Duty-Free since its opening in December 1983. The move comes as a great help for Indians both traveling from or traveling through Dubai International Airport every day.
