Jagannath Rath Yatra Special: Around 194 new trains begins for the pilgrims
Good news for the pilgrims who wanted to visit Jagannath Puri, to celebrate the biggest religious events of the year in Odisha, the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. As it is the expected that like every year, this time also there are many enthusiastic pilgrims will be visiting Jagannath Puri in Odisha in the coming days.
For that to provide every pilgrim an opportunity to visit over there, Indian Railways has planned and declared the news of new trains in those days. Khudra Road Division of East Coast Railway (ECOR) has decided to run 194 trains from different parts of India to reach Puri. As per the report, these trains will be operating from July 4 to 13, 2019.
For the awareness of the trains, the railway is going to use electronic media at the Puri Railway station to inform the passengers about the initiative. And in addition to this, an app called ‘ECOR’ travel has been launched for the Jagannath Rath Yatra, in which the app will provide all the important travel related information about Puri Rath Yatra.
Beside this, the railway will also open 60 new railway ticket booking counters at the at the Puri railway station and automatic ticket vending machines will be put at the station. However, from the security point of view, Railway Protection Force (RPF), sniffer dogs, police teams and the government railway police will be present to ensure security for the pilgrims.
