Silvasa doesn’t only meant for beaches, it also has many places to discover. Below are few of them.

Vasona Lion Safari Park:

Vasona Lion Safari park, a major attraction, is about 10 km from Silvassa. The 20-acre land is basically part of Dadra & Nagar Haveli Wildlife sanctuary. The park is known as the home of Asiatic lions.

Moreover, the park was established to conserve Asiatic lioness and lion, provide proper medication, take care of their cubs and keep a track of its breeding. It covers almost 25 hectares of land and is enclosed within a 3-meter high wall. The park is next to the Satmaliya Deer Park.

Opening Timing: Open all days except Monday 09:00 am to 05:00 pm

Vanganga lake garden:

The Vanganga Lake garden is also known as beauty spot of the Island Garden. The Vanganga Lake garden in Silvassa is a charming lake situated right at the entry of Dadra and Nagar Haveli.

The tourists here enjoy a quick boating spree and explore the nearby vistas. One can also have a glimpse of the tree line, cottages, and the authentic style jogging tracks.

Meanwhile, the best time to visit the gardens is from November to June as it is an ideal time to enjoy the scene as well as boating.

Hirwa Van Garden:

One of the marvellous places to visit in the Dadra and Nagar Haveli is the Hirwa van garden. This is the beautiful man-made garden which is situated on the Silvassa Dadar road.

The meaning of this park is the “Green Park “because it is surrounded by lush greenery from all the sides. This garden consists well maintained green lawns, beautiful twin arches, stone wall structures and small artificial waterfalls. This garden provides a pollution free environments for the tourists by which they spent some hours from hustle and bustle environments of the city.

This is the vastly growing picnic spot in the Dadra and Nagar Haveli which is full of with crowd in the evening times.

Tribal Museum:

Silvassa has been under different dominations in the history, yet it has maintained the culture and traditions of tribals in its hurt.

The government has established a small-medium, located in the heart of town beside the main tourist office, holding the heritage of different tribal culture of the union territory.

Well, this is not just a museum, but an anthropological centre of how different tribes have originated in the region. Moreover, the walls of the museum are decorated with bows, draggers, spears etc used by the different tribes for hunting and fighting.
