Good news for Chandigarh-Dharamshala people!
Now you can fly from Chandigarh to Dharamshala as it will be operational from mid-November.
In a big push to the tourism industry, as per the latest reports received, hill station Dharamshala will be connected to Chandigarh via flight for the first time, under the regional connectivity scheme of Indian Government.
Latest reports suggest that the flights on the said route will start from November 16 onward, and fares has been set at INR 1700 per passenger.
Disclosing more details about the timings of the flight, airline officials stated that flight from Chandigarh to Dharamshala will depart at 10 AM, whereas the flight from Dharamshala to Chandigarh will take off around 8:30 AM. Officials also said that the said flight will be a 70-seater routine flight.
Right now, four flights are already in operation from Dharamshala to Delhi. Ashwani Bamba, President of hotelier association in Dharamshala, said that this move will likely boost tourism sector in this region, and they are very much hopeful that this will further help to promote the destination.
Usually it takes around six hours to reach Chandigarh by road. However, planning a trip to the hill station will be more fun with the introduction of the new flights.
