Traveling from Bengalaru Airport just got costlier
If your are traveling from Bengaluru Airport then there is some bad news for you as the Air tickets prices from Bengaluru has gone up as the Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) got regulatory approval to charge a “higher” user development fee (UDF).
The revised fee, increased by about 120%, will be applicable for tickets procured between April 16 and August 15.
The UDF for domestic departures will be revised to Rs 306 from Rs 139 and for international departures will be Rs 1,226 (up) from Rs 558.
BIAL is expected to collect anywhere between Rs 350 crore to Rs 450 crore from the hike. The UDF collection could, however, vary as it depends on the total number of domestic and international passengers who will be travelling in the next four months. BIAL officials did not provide figures on the estimated collection.
