Sun Temple Modhera – An Ode to Sun God
Located in the small village, Modhera, which is 30 km away from Patan district, the Sun Temple of Modhera dedicated to the Surya or the Sun God. The Solankis built the temple as they were called to be the worshippers of the sun. King Bhimdev had built this temple in the 11th century dedicating it to Surya.
