Punjab: Virat-e-Khalsa Museum is listed in the World Book of Records

The state-of-the-art museum Virat-e-Khalsa in Punjab has now leaped out and listed in the World Book of Records, due to massive registration of visitors on a single day. According to reports, a phase of 20569 visitors witnessed the museum on March 20.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of Punjab received the award from the representatives of the World Book of Records, and the delegates traveled exclusively to participate in the Inauguration Day celebrations to be held here.

Attending the ceremony, Channi said that this is the fourth Back to Back award of the year  has been awarded for Record Footfall this year, after topping its list in the Limca Book of Records, India Book of  Records, Asia Book of Records, and award of Certificate of Excellence was announced by a popular travel website.

He also mentioned that the museum organized a number of events with schools, colleges, and the public like 2nd half-marathons, cultural events, educational competitions and planting of 550 plants in its lawn and backyards tagged under 550 Rukh Guru Nanak De Naam.

Dedicated to a single community, it is one of the world’s largest historical and cultural museum. As soon as you move across the campus, you will get an opportunity to see the transportation system of the museum of an engrossing journey of 550 years of Sikh history through its 27 galleries.

You can plan to visit the Virasat-e-Khalsa museum from 10 AM to 4:30 PM on six days of a week.
